A Message From Bridgette Gustin, Owner of JBH Studio
In the year 2000, I decided to attend Dallas Roberts Hair Academy in Provo, UT. I found myself wondering why I chose to go into cosmetology early on because I really didn’t fit in and it wasn’t really what I wanted to do for my career. My goal for beauty school was to put myself through college for behavioral analysis/Criminal Justice. I discovered after months into the program of helping juvenile teenagers getting ready for prom, that I am not just another hairdresser making them feel pretty. I also create a sacred space for my clients to express whatever they need; I listen to all their needs and wants - for not only their hair but their soul. For most of my career, I have created this sacred space at my home studio. While I enjoyed having that time raising my children, helping my husband with our other small business, Gustin Hay Company, while making sure I continued my education, bringing my clients the best of my education possible, I felt the need for a change. As we all know change can be hard, but it can be so beautiful and empowering to not only yourself but also to others around you. This is why I chose to change the name of my salon from Hawaiian Style Salon to JBH Studio which stands for my children Jarrett, Brody, and Haylee, and “Just Beautiful Hair.” It was time I take the leap and move my salon downtown to Ephrata, Washington.
My team will always have the same values of customer service, on-going professional education, and most of all showing how beautiful you are from the inside out! That is my promise to you at JBH Studio.
Love,
Bridgette Gustin
